Back to Basics

I can't help it but i just really have to make an entry about my math 1 instructor and the subject itself. The fact that we've already gotten through the hardest task of solving bloody algebraic expressions, derivatives, range of data, quartiles, variance and standard variation, discrete distributions and etc etc for years. We are now facing the most deadliest subject of all MATH1. Basically it covers all the addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, rounding off numbers, etc etc. BASIC FUNDAMENTALS OF MATHEMATICS.

So, why am i making such ruckus all for a simple subject, right? WRONG! After having keen observation and much deliberation from my colleagues, we've noticed that she is idealistic and creative in lecturing. That's not normal. She makes the class go"WOOHOO! learning math is fun!" That's not normal either. Using some flash cards and who knows what else she'll be bringing next session. Enter twilight zone people. So we got into the conclusion that she's a fresh graduate. Probably, you're wondering what's wrong with that right? Yeah, i know. I'm just being such a downer and doesn't give her the opportunity to knock into my pea-sized brain and enjoy the wonders of mathematics and learning the basics all over again.

This morning, it was already our second meeting and we have no idea about that. For us, it was our first. I mean.. seriously, this morning was our FIRST meeting. Due to technicalities of the tragic enrollment system the school had for years, today is our first day of classes. END OF DISCUSSION. So, we were late, and they were already starting. All there eyes we're on us, scary. Then we sat at the last row, it was the only seats that wasn't occupied. Kids we're still looking at us. I wanted to poke their eyes with a fork if i have to, just to stop them from looking at us like we we're aliens or something. We were expecting to sit with each other but then seating arrangement was implemented. FUDGE~! -_-'

Then after coping with new classmates.
DISCUSSION TIME.
She wrote numbers on the board, asked a student to read them.
"ok class, can someone read the numbers i've written on the board?"
1.. 2.. 3.. 4... 5..
wtf? seriously? 6.. 7..this is so not right 8.. 9...0 yay! math is so so so fun.*giggles in extreme happiness*

After that... POP QUIZ.

She brought flash cards.... flash cards.... FLASH CARDS! I know, right? pero bsan unsa.on kasayon...wa na perfect. LOSER much. XD

We were really just wondering why we have to take up math1, i mean... c'mon! Math1? HAHA! that laugh was not intended for mocking nor humiliation. But wait... i don't think i have to be complacent and mock her, that is so not cool. SO NOT COOL EUN. Anyhow, perhaps somewhere deep inside of her we might have the same interest in life. I seriously don't know what i'm talking about. XD
